Destination Cold - We are going HOME

I can't explain how excited I am! Finally, I am revealing our next destination with my dear friend Nicole. We have been planning this trip for a few months and honestly guys, it's a dream that is coming true! On the 22 of December, we are leaving ... WE ARE TRAVELING TO MOTHER RUSSIA! Moscow and St. Petersburg, to be exact.

Nicole and I are Russian and we always wanted to travel to Russia together. We never actually thought that we will get our shit together and leave! I can't believe that we are actually doing this, it seems so unreal. The only worry we have: the weather... How the hell are we going to survive? We are going to freeze to death! I guess Vodka will keep us warm since we are going to spend a lot of time outside. Ahhhh only thinking about Russia... The food, the x-mas markets, and ice skating!

Finally, we are going to see snow and feel real winter on our skins. We are fully aware that we might die, 'cause let's be honest, Russia is dangerous, but whatever (no risk no fun, yolo). Nothing will stop us and I am so proud of myself (and Nicole too), just because I followed my heart and did what I truly wanted to do. Nothing makes me happier than traveling (and food) and I can't wait to share my experience. I might include some 'broke traveller' tips because I am broke and I am traveling (wow Lisa, wow).

This is very raw, I know, but stay tuned more info is coming soon!

My Radio experience

Back to positive vibes -

Hi Guys, I hope you're having a great Monday! So, something happened very recently and I wanted to share it with you. You probably do not know it yet, but I am a professional lazy-person and procrastinator. So this experience that I will share with you is something I never thought I would do.

It all begins with my dear friend Nicole, who has a Radio show on a local Luxemburgish radio. Her show is called 'Mountain Songs' (you should totally listen to it, just click on the name of the show) and I am a loyal listener. So one day I decided to make my own show and so I did.

I thought about it and decided that it only had perks for me since I want to pursue the study of languages. I decided to call my show 'Black Coffee' and it is a show where I talk about books, music, movies and more. I do not want to limit myself to specific topics because I know myself too well and I know that I will get bored if I do limit myself. My show will air only once a month for the moment, but this might change, who knows?

So for now I recorded one show, it was more like a test show I would say, just so see how I talk and all that good stuff. The show is sort of a fail, but that makes it funny I guess. My first show will be on air December 2nd and I am already so excited to hear my own voice on the radio!

After my show will air, I'll post the link to the podcast, so you can listen to it if you feel like it! I'll also introduce it a little and tell you what I am talking about.

Oh hey, that is a pic of me being all professional

What happens around us?

The whole world is speechless - another terroristic act has occurred.

Paris, the city of love, a place where people fall in love, get married or spend their honeymoon, just had a turn of events.
Paris, the city of love, ran out of love..

Another tragedy settled upon Paris, the capital of France. So many families are torn apart, so many lives are taken. So many hearts are broken, so many tears are running. It is horrible and so many people are praying for Paris. If you think about it, it is so messed up.. How can something like this happen? How can people do this to other people? Who do they think they are? Why do they think that they have the right to decide whether a person has the right to live or not? What is wrong with the world?

I am praying for Paris. But not only.

So many people change their profile pictures and post statuses on Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr to show their love and support toward the victims of the catastrophe in France. But why are we forgetting that so many other countries around us go through the same catastrophe and hundreds of women, men and children lose their lives every day. Why do act as if the tragedy in France is the only tragedy that matters? Why don't we grief and cherish victims from Africa, Iraq, Syria, Ukraine and other countries, where families are torn apart and where innocent people die every day?

Our world is so messed up, where is all of this going? I don't know about you, but I am afraid.

I am sending my love, prayers and support to everybody who lost someone in their lives in one of the tragedies around the world.

xx Lisa

staying true to yourself - SPEAK UP!

There are some things I think about on daily basis, and this in one of them. Staying true to yourself, wow what a powerful title but at the same time: What do you mean, Lisa? Staying true to yourself can mean a thousand things.

Today I am going to talk about self-delusion, especially what concerns friendship and people around you. A lot of you probably still do not know what I mean, but don't worry, I am going to explain it in a second.

Here is an example: Can you think of a person who just tries to fit in? No matter where, just fit in. Maybe that person is friends with people that it does not really want to be friends with or just is surrounded by negative people with negative energy? I don't know, you tell me. Maybe that person is you? Maybe it is me? Who knows? Only you know.

I see people like this every single day and it breaks my heart. Because I recall how I tried to fit in, I wanted to have friends and I wanted attention, not much just a little. I wanted to be heard and seen, I wanted to be a part of something, but I always felt left out, and I was surrounded by people I didn't want to be surrounded by. I just felt out of place, just wrong. It just destroyed me inside.

But I realized at a very young age, that all of this does not matter. The only thing that does matter is me, my happiness and my well-being. Only I will take care of myself because only I care about that. And you know what? It was the best realization of my life. I do not need 100 friends who won't care about me and won't respect and support me. I DO NOT NEED THAT. I do not need to pretend to like somebody just so I won't be alone at lunch and you know why? I much rather be honest to myself and respect myself enough to know that people like that are shit. Shit on my soul, shit in my brain and shit in my heart. Do I need that? HELL NO.

You know what? Surround yourself with positive people who will truly care about you. And if anything bothers you, just address the problem instead of hiding behind the curtains and hoping that the problem will solve itself. It will not, okay? If you want it to be solved, get your shit together and solve it yourself. Talk to people, do not hide your feelings. Talk directly to the person without any hints, just raw talk like back in the day. It works I promise, just don't lie to yourself because you WILL regret it later. Life is too short for unspoken words.

Stay true to yourself.
xx Lisa

As I promised, today I am talking about my trip to Italy with my dear friend Nicole (shoutout to you Nicole aka Frentus aka Fish for being in almost every post of mine, love you). So this summer, end of summer actually (September to be exact) we went to the south of Italy together.

This picture just resumes our criminal activity in Italy, we were so proud to eat some fruit for free. Btw, the lighting is just amazing, right?

We stayed in Turi, which is a small town near Bari and if you are wondering why, well because of one simple reason: My family has an apartment there and they were staying in Turi as well. We visited the area around Turi and we had so much fun! We were real ass tourists when we were on our own and we didn't have WIFI so it was an amazing adventure just like back in the day.

If you are wondering what cities we saw, I am just going to list them: Turi (no shit sherlock), Bari, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Pisticci (at the beach), Monopoli and some small cities around Turi.

We didn't really plan anything we just knew where we wanted to go and had a spontaneous trip I would say. To be honest, this spontaneousness made the whole trip really special because it was a real vacation we had and we didn't really know what would come next.

I am not going to tell you something about every city because that might be boring, but I am going to tell you a few things that came across when we were in Italy. So first when we went to Polignano a Mare we were lucky enough to experience something really cool! You probably heard about the RedBull event things, you know like RedBull rampage, etc. So that day there was actually the RedBull Cliffdiving event! Well, not the event itself because it took place the next day, but they were training and it was sooooo cool! We could see the athletes and there was music, TV, everything! Basically the event but with fewer people.

This is the view from the bridge in Polignano a Mare, the weather was not the best, but the view is still breathtaking. There are some restaurants in the area and the view is just priceless. Imagine drinking a coffee and enjoying this scenery.

Moving on, our trip to Alberobello. Oh, Alberobello, you were so beautiful, but not only that.. Alberobello was our first trip alone and we didn't expect anything to happen that was out of order, but how could it not? We are talking about 2 catastrophes here! Well nothing bad happened (thank god) but we actually met a stranger and went to his house. Yes I know he could be a serial killer or whatever, but we are straight up gangsters and ninjas (no we are not, we are just two small dumb blond girls) so we agreed and visited his crib. He showed us around and it turned out that he was a nice guy who let us walk on his roof. As the end approached, he offered us a drink and since we love free stuff we said yes. Guys, he gave us some utterly disgusting rose liqueur and we drank that and pretended to love it. It actually tasted like rose deodorant or some other really strong disgusting rose smelling and tasting 'thing'. Other than that and having to wait for a train for an hour, there were no other mishaps and we came back home safe and sound! Oh and btw, when we returned to Turi we met an old American couple who were visiting Italy as well, shoutout to that cute couple!

This is the view from the rooftop of that guy that let us in his house. We basically walked around on rooftops.

And this picture is legendary just because we look good (arrogance on point) and because my bra is showing yaay. In addition, the picture was taken in the 'garden' of a stranger.

This was our amazing first destination and it does not stop there! As we were leaving, we decided to actually fulfill our dreams and not only plan a trip together but actually go somewhere together. So yeah, we picked our next destination (which will remain unknown for the public, for now) and planned our trip. We are leaving in December and we are staying there for New Year's Eve. Stay tuned because soon enough you will be a part of our adventures!

Well, that was a really short post about our adventure because there is so much more to say! In addition, I will insert a video, which I posted on instagram it resumes our stay in Italy, I hope you'll like it!

There are days like today, where I don't feel like doing shit and I feel so bad, but life goes on and I can't stop. And these are the days where the queen of procrastination comes out and I'm sick of it. I decided to change it up a bit and get shit done (sorry for the expression, I am a gangster). And you know why? Well because the feeling of accomplishment is amazing, and I love accomplishing tasks and not only that but also keeping myself busy takes my mind off other stuff.

I don't know about you, but I love coffee and for some reason good coffee makes me feel like a queen and full of power, so I decided to go and get some coffee. Instead of making it myself my smart brain decided that taking a bus and driving for 20 minutes, was a great idea and NOT a waste of time, yeah it was but the coffee was delicious (and totally WORTH IT). The fact that I got my ass up and got coffee motivated me to do other stuff I had to do like for 3 months already. I did it all today, aren't you all proud of me? I know that I am for sure and I know why I did not do them for such a long time: it was a pain in the ass, being (kinda) grown up sucks!

Now I am at home and today's day got me thinking: Why do I feel pity for myself whenever I feel low? Instead of doing something productive (like buying coffee), creative or just homework? Small things like this make me think and make me want to change myself. I guess that is not a bad thing, all I want is to be happy and feel good about myself. Maybe some of you are in the same situation, and I made you think as well.

Btw, if you want to listen to a great track here you go:

Let's Be Game Changers - ESSENA O'NEILL

So this is hot stuff, Essena O'Neill, a 19-year-old model decides to quit Social Media and raises awareness about it. Essena, deleted all of her social media accounts and now only works on her website As the name already states, she 'warns' people about social media and explains how everything we see is basically an illusion. I'll post a few pictures below just so you can understand and get a visual of what I mean. By the way, I checked her website out and it is very interesting. She talks about different topics such as 'game changing stuff' including interviews, documentaries, books, music and more. There is also something similar to the pictures I posted below: So the rubric is called 'behind the image' and she basically posts a picture of herself and tells the backstory of it, which is not as beautiful as the picture itself.

Do you see what I mean? Well yeah, this is new and revolutionary. But keep in mind, Essena is only 19 years old! She became a model at a very young age and I think that all the fame struck her at one point and she had a major breakdown. I am not saying that everything will change to the way it was because let's be honest it is a great mindset and everything, but this is applicable to her situation and her lifestyle. Not everyone is obsessed with social media and attention, right? In my opinion, banning social media is great, for her, but not for me for example. I am not spending my whole life on social media and craving the attention of other people, I do it for fun and for myself after all.

Other than that, I am not going to express my opinion toward this topic, watch the video and see for yourself. The video Essena recorded is educational and made me think to be honest. I get her point of view and I support her decision. For a 19-year-old she seems to be very mature and it is clear that all of the fame made her go crazy.

I hope that she is happy with her decision and that her family and friends support her. Thank you Essena for raising awareness and being your true self. I hope that you find peace and recover as soon as possible.

If you want to learn more about the topic I recommend you to listen to my dear friend Nicole. She recorded a podcast about awareness of social media and how to be a conscious user. In addition, you can listen to beautiful and inspiring music and learn something new.

Love, Lisa xx

So productive

Hi, Guys! Tonight I am going to tell you a bit about my productive self, yay!

So I love traveling and a great friend of mine and I decided to go to Italy this summer for a week and guys, it was such an amazing week! We had so much fun and we became such great friends. We basically discovered different sides of each other (yeah that does sound weird ahah) and bonded so well! More about that will be up soon, cause I am actually writing a separate post dedicated to our trip!

After that amazing adventure we decided that we should not stop there and plan a next adventure. The destination will remain a secret for now but everything is booked and we are going! The only thing that I can reveal is that both of us actually really wanted to go there, it is a dream coming true for us and we still can't believe that we are going there together!!!! Since we want it to be as awesome as possible (let's face it it will be awesome in any case 'cause it involves me and my friend Nicole, hello??) we started planning our trip on Monday, we looked up hostels, placed to go, to see and to eat. To be honest we didn't plan everything (obviously) and actually only booked the place we are staying at, but we had so much fun planning and discussing the details.

After numerous coffees, soups and desserts we decided to wrap it up and go home. But instead of that we went to a restaurant and had SUSHI! Omg you guys they were AMAZING. I guess that was a treat for such a 'hard' job we did.

All in all, it was an amazing day and I am so excited for our next adventure together!
